Built-In
BI-series, side-by-side and over-and-under built-ins.
Sub-Zero Refrigerators
A built-in Sub-Zero runs two cooling systems in one cabinet, and it rarely fails the way an ordinary fridge does. We find which side is actually at fault before naming a price, and the parts these systems need are on the truck.
Coverage
The whole refrigeration line — built-in, integrated, undercounter and outdoor. A model that is not on this list is still worth a call: the fault matters more than the badge.
BI-series, side-by-side and over-and-under built-ins.
Classic columns and combination units, 500 and 600 series included.
Fully integrated, flush-inset, panel-ready columns.
PRO 48 and the rest of the professional series.
Undercounter refrigerator, freezer and beverage centers.
Wine preservation is its own animal — see the wine cooler page.
Outdoor drawers and units built for the weather.
What We Fix
Name the one that sounds like yours when you call. On a Sub-Zero the symptom usually says which part to put on the truck before anyone reaches your address.
The classic dual-compressor split. Usually the evaporator fan on the fresh-food side, an air path blocked by frost, or a defrost sensor that stopped reporting.
Water inlet valve, a fill tube frozen shut, or the module itself. It usually arrives alongside weak pressure at the door dispenser, and that pairing narrows it fast.
Nearly always a clogged defrost drain. Left alone it refreezes, backs up, and the water finds its way out along the cabinet floor.
Condenser coils packed with dust, a door gasket giving up, or something on the refrigerant side. The first two are cheap and the third is not — you hear which before we start.
Defrost heater, thermostat or control board. Frost that returns within days of a manual defrost points at the control side, not the ice.
A condenser fan bearing, or a compressor relay trying and failing to start. Clicking every few minutes is the relay — stop running the unit until it is looked at.
The gasket has hardened, or the door has drifted out of alignment. On a built-in the weight of the panel pulls hinges out of adjustment over the years.
The panel is naming the sensor or circuit that reported the fault. Read the code to us on the phone and we know what we are walking into.
Tell us what you hear, see or smell, and when. Most of these we can name on the phone in a couple of minutes.
Recent Repairs
Real refrigerators, real faults, real parts on the invoice. Every one of them started as a phone call that sounded a lot like yours.
Another company had already put in two thermostats and the swings kept coming back. Nobody had checked the seals or the switching side, and that is exactly where the fault was sitting.
Before leaving we tested compressor operation, airflow, temperature recovery and door sealing. Worn seals had been quietly making the whole cooling system work harder than it had to for years.
It looked like a condenser cleaning and a top-up, and that is what most quotes would have been. Diagnostics put the fault in the coil — adding refrigerant would have held for a month at best.
